Ingredients

  • Paneer cubes - 1 cup
  • Chopped capsicum - 1/4 cup
  • Onions, chopped roughly - 2
  • Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander - 1/2 a bunch
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing - 1 tbsp
  • Kasuri methi for garnishing - 1 tsp
  • To make a paste :
  • Tomatoes chopped - 1
  • Garlic chopped - 1
  • Cashew nuts (soaked in hot water for 1 hour) - 7-8

How to Make Continental Paneer Butter Masala

  • In a non stick pan, dry saute capsicum and paneer cubes till they turn light brown and keep aside.
  • In the same pan, add oil. Saute onions and garlic till it becomes light brown.
  • When it cools, add the sauteed onions, the ingredients for paste and grind it to a smooth paste.
  • In the same pan, add butter and splutter cumin seeds.
  • Add the paste and saute for 5 mins.
  • Add the garam masala, chilli powder, salt, tomato puree and mix well.
  • Add the milk till it comes to a boil.
  • Add the sauteed paneer, capsicum and mix well for 2 mins.
  • Garnish with kasuri methi and coriander leaves.
