Lemon Coriander Soup is a delicious Indian clear soup recipe. Non-vegetarians can add chicken in this recipe, instead of the vegetables.

Coriander lemon soup is a palate pleasing clear soup made with healthy ingredients like lemon and coriander. The soup is very light for stomach and will rejuvenate you instantly.

In fact, this soup is a great appetizer. You can also learn how to make this easy soup at home by following our recipe guide. This high protein soup is prepared as one dish in Indian style.

The procedure follows the same as that of other soups and stews recipe except for the change of major ingredients. Onion, garlic, gram flour, ginger is sautéed along with vegetable stock along with generous amount of coriander and lemon juice until done.


  • 1 tbsp - fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 Onion , chopped
  • 1/2 spring onion, chopped
  • 1/2 inch - ginger, chopped
  • 2 Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - gram flour (besan)
  • 2 cups - vegetable stock
  • 1/2 cup - cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - carrot, diced
  • 5 peppercorns, crushed
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Coriander Lemon Soup:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Add onion, spring onion bulb, ginger and garlic and saute.
    3. Add gram flour and continue to saute till you get a nice aroma.
    4. Add vegetable stock, coriander stems, cabbage and carrot cubes and bring to a boil.
    5. Add crushed peppercorns and continue to boil.
    6. Add half of the chopped coriander leaves and cook for ten minutes.
    7. Strain and keep aside cooked vegetables.
    8. Heat the strained soup.
    9. Add salt, lemon juice and bring to a boil again.
    10. Season with the remaining chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
