Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rava (semolina)
  • 2 cups - fresh Curd
  • 1/2 cup - peas
  • 1/2 cup - fresh coriander (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - Channa dal
  • 10 - Curry leaves
  • 2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - soda
  • 1 tsp - salt

How to Make Coriander Rava Idli

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add mustard. When it splutters add chana dal.
  • When it turns red, add green chillies and curry leaves.
  • After 2 seconds, add rava and roast on medium flame till you get a nice aroma.
  • Add peas and coriander and roast for two minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add salt and soda and mix.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Then add curd. Mix well.
  • Immediately pour it into greased idli moulds or small katoris and steam for 10 mins.
  • Serve with coriander chutney or potato pathal bhaji.
