Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rava (semolina)
  • 2 cups - fresh Curd
  • 1/2 cup - peas
  • 1/2 cup - fresh coriander (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - Channa dal
  • 10 - Curry leaves
  • 2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - soda
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • How to Make Coriander Rava Idli:

    1. Heat ghee in a pan.
    2. Add mustard. When it splutters add chana dal.
    3. When it turns red, add green chillies and curry leaves.
    4. After 2 seconds, add rava and roast on medium flame till you get a nice aroma.
    5. Add peas and coriander and roast for two minutes.
    6. Remove from heat, add salt and soda and mix.
    7. Allow to cool.
    8. Then add curd. Mix well.
    9. Immediately pour it into greased idli moulds or small katoris and steam for 10 mins.
    10. Serve with coriander chutney or potato pathal bhaji.
