Ingredients

  • 1/2 tin sweet Corn Cream style
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 pieces Cinnamon
  • 4 Cloves
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - parsley, chopped
  • 2 to 3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup - Onions
  • 1 cup - cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup - carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 cup - beans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup - grated cheese
  • 1/2 kg - Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Corn and Vegetable Pie

  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine oil, cloves, cinnamon, green chilies, onion and garlic.
  • Cook without covering on high for 5-7 minutes, till the onions are soft.
  • Add carrot, cabbage and beans. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile boil, peel and mash the potatoes. Add butter, salt, pepper and milk and keep aside.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, add sweet corn, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Mix in the cheese.
  • Spread potato mixture carefully on top and cook on high for 4 minutes. Serve hot as a main course
