Ingredients

  • 1/2 tin sweet Corn Cream style
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 2 pieces Cinnamon
  • 4 Cloves
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - parsley, chopped
  • 2 to 3 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup - Onions
  • 1 cup - cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup - carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 cup - beans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup - grated cheese
  • 1/2 kg - Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp - Butter
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • How to Make Corn and Vegetable Pie:

    1. In a microwave safe bowl, combine oil, cloves, cinnamon, green chilies, onion and garlic.
    2. Cook without covering on high for 5-7 minutes, till the onions are soft.
    3. Add carrot, cabbage and beans. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes.
    4. Meanwhile boil, peel and mash the potatoes. Add butter, salt, pepper and milk and keep aside.
    5. When the vegetables are cooked, add sweet corn, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Mix in the cheese.
    6. Spread potato mixture carefully on top and cook on high for 4 minutes. Serve hot as a main course
