Ingredients

  • 1 - ear of Corn
  • 2-3 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1 bunch - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 - large onion, chopped
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 1 cup - hot water
  • Salt
  • Red Chilli powder - to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/4 cup - Green peas
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • A handful - groundnuts, toasted
  • Oil

How to Make Corn Halwa

  • Cut the corn butta into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan, and splutter the mustard seeds.
  • Then add the onions and green chillies and saute for a few mins.
  • Add the corn, peas, salt and chilli powder, and saute for 5-10 minutes.
  • Once they are 3/4th cooked, add in the semolina and sugar. Fry until it browns.
  • Add the tomatoes and saute for a coupe of mins.
  • Finally, add hot water and cook till done.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and toasted peanuts. Serve hot.
