How to Make Corn Peas Pulao

  • First soak the basmati rice in 3.5 cups of water for 20 minutes. Pressure cook the rice and then allow it to cool.
  • In a heavy saucepan, heat the oil. Add cumin and mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  • Then, add onions, bay leaves and the ginger-garlic paste and fry them until they turn brown.
  • To the same oil, add the corn, peas, turmeric, chilli, salt and masala powders. Cover and cook till they turn brown.
  • Add the cooked rice and mix well and wait for 3-4 minutes.
  • Garnish with cashews and coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with curd.
