How to Make Corny Chicken Franks

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, chilli powder and salt. Keep aside.
  • In another bow, beat the oil, milk and egg.
  • Add this liquid mixture to the dry ingredients mixture and mix well until well blended.
  • Dry each frank between absorbent paper towel and push a wooden skewer into each piece.
  • Dip each frank into the cornmeal batter.
  • Since the batter is thick, make sure you spread it evenly so that each frank is covered completely with the batter.
  • Fry each frank in hot oil until they turn golden all over (keep turning them over several times while frying).
  • Drain quickly on absorbent kitchen towels.
  • Serve hot with mustard.
