  • 200 g - paneer, grated
  • 50 g - cheese, grated
  • 10 g - peanuts, roasted and ground to a paste
  • 1 tsp - mace (javitri) powder
  • 1 tsp - elaichi powder
  • 1/2 tsp - clove powder
  • 20 g - garlic, dry-roasted until golden brown
  • 20 g - onions rings, deep-fried until brown and crisp
  • 10 g - khus khus
  • 1/2 tsp - red-chilli powder
  • salt to taste

How to Make Cottage Cheese Kebabs

  • Grind the grated paneer and cheese to a fine paste. Mix with the elaichi, mace and clove powders, and with the peanut paste, browned garlic, browned onions and khus khus.
  • Add salt and red chilli powder and mix well.
  • Set aside for an hour.
  • Shape into round patties.
  • Grill both sides evenly on a tawa until done, using as little oil as possible. Serve hot.
