Ingredients

  • 12 - crabs
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar - As required
  • For tempering:
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp - cooking oil
  • To grind:
  • 1 - medium Onion
  • 10 - large dry Red Chillies
  • 1 ball - Tamarind
  • 6 flakes - Garlic
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - jeera/cumin seeds
  • 6 - peppercorns
  • 1 - Coconut
  • 2 tbsp - coriander/dhania
  • How to Make Crab Curry with Coconut:

    1. Wash the crabs, remove the shells and cut them into halves.
    2. In a cooking vessel, heat 3 tbsp oil, add washed curry leaves, and fry.
    3. Add the ground masala and fry it well.
    4. Add 3 to 4 cups of water and bring it to boil.
    5. Put the crabs in the boiling water and simmer till it absorbs the gravy.
    6. Add additional salt and vinegar to taste.
