4 - large crabs, cleaned
1/2 cup - onion, minced
2 - bread slices
2 tbsp - oil
1 tsp - garlic, minced
1 tsp - green chillies, minced
1/2 tsp - chilli powder
1/2 tsp -
salt to taste
and bread crumbs for the coating
oil for frying
How to Make Crab Cutlet
Steam the cleaned crabs for 10 minutes. Crack the shells and remove the meat.
Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion and garlic until pink.
Add the green chilli, chilli powder and turmeric. Fry for a minute.
Add the meat and salt. Mix well and remove from the heat.
Soak the bread slices in water for a minute. Squeeze out the water, mash and add to the crab mixture.
Cool the mixture and shape into 4 cm round discs.
Dip the discs in lightly beaten egg. Then roll in the breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry.
Serve hot with tomato sauce.
