Ingredients

  • 200 gm - shelled corn kernels
  • 1 egg
  • 50 gm - corn flour
  • 20 gm - garlic paste
  • 2 gm - ajinomoto
  • 50 gm - onions, chopped
  • 10 gm - green chillies, chopped
  • 10 gm - spring onion, chopped
  • 3 ml - soya sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 5 gm - pepper
  • 5 gm - red chilli paste
  • 10 ml - sesame oil
  • Refined oil for frying

How to Make Crackling corn

  • Make a batter with egg, corn flour, salt, pepper, garlic paste and red chilli paste.
  • Add the corn into the batter so that each kernel is coated properly.
  • Heat oil and deep fry the corn over slow heat.
  • Stir so that the corn does not stick to each other. Keep aside.
  • Heat some sesame oil in a wok and add the chopped green chillies, chopped onions and stir fry.
  • Add salt, ajinomotto and soya sauce.
  • Now toss the deep fried corn into this as soon as possible.
  • Serve immediately to avoid sogginess of the corn.
