Ingredients

  • 800 ml - Milk
  • 200 ml - condensed Milk
  • cashews, Badam - 5-10
  • 200 g - Raisins
  • 3 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • a pinch of yellow food colour

How to Make Creamy Basundi

  • Soak cashews and badam in 200 ml of hot milk.
  • Heat the rest of the milk in a heavy bottomed vessel until it is reduced to one-fourth.
  • Grind the soaked nuts into a creamy paste.
  • Add them to the boiling milk. Boil for another 2 minutes.
  • Add sugar and condensed milk.
  • Remove from the heat, add vanilla essence and food colour.
  • Fry the raisins in ghee add as topping.
  • Refrigerate and serve.
