Ingredients

  • 500 g - medium-sized prawns
  • a pinch or two of turmeric powder
  • For the gravy: 2 - onions, medium-sized
  • 1 tbsp - garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 4-5 - green chillies
  • 8-10 - black pepper corns
  • 10-15 g - fresh coriander
  • 1 - tomato, medium-sized
  • Other ingredients: 5 tbsp - coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp - fresh cream
  • For seasoning: salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - honey
  • a little mustard oil
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder

How to Make Creamy Prawn

  • Mix turmeric powder and salt with the washed prawns; keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Saute the prawns in an oiled pan and keep aside.
  • Wet-grind the gravy spices without excess water.
  • Put 2 tbsp of oil in a kadhai; put 1 bay leaf and all the ground spices. Fry until the oil separates.
  • Add the prawns and mix well.
  • Add the other ingredients, mix well and let it cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Adjust the gravy as you please. Serve hot, preferably with veg pulav.
