How to Make Crisp Tenkuzhal

  • Cook urad dal and grind it finely.
  • Mix it with the rice flour, butter, salt and cumin seeds (and a little water if needed) to make a soft, non-sticky dough.
  • Press the dough through a chakli press (with the circular holes) into medium hot oil.
  • Fry till crispy, drain and serve.
