  • Rice flour - 5 cups
  • Urad Dal - 1 cup
  • Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Oil for frying
  • How to Make Crisp Tenkuzhal:

    1. Cook urad dal and grind it finely.
    2. Mix it with the rice flour, butter, salt and cumin seeds (and a little water if needed) to make a soft, non-sticky dough.
    3. Press the dough through a chakli press (with the circular holes) into medium hot oil.
    4. Fry till crispy, drain and serve.
