  • 3/4 cup - besan
  • 3 cup - sugar
  • 2 cup - ghee
  • 500 ml - water

How to Make Crispy Mysore pak

  • Sift the besan.
  • Mix sugar in 500 ml of water. On a medium flame, stir till the sugar gets dissolved.
  • Increase the heat and allow the syrup to boil till it reaches a single-thread consistency.
  • Add 1/4 of the ghee and stir.
  • Add besan gradually, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Stir till the mixture starts bubbling.
  • Continue the process till the besan and ghee are used completely.
  • Pour ghee every time you add besan.
  • Continue stirring till you get the aroma of sweet roasted besan and the besan turns brownish in colour.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased tray, cool a little and cut into square pieces.
