How to Make Cucumber Chutney

  • Peel the cucumber and cut it into small pieces.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a kadai and fry the gram dal, cumin seeds and the chillies till brown in colour.
  • Now add the coconut, salt, tamarind, jaggery and mix with the fried spices. Grind into a slightly coarse paste.
  • Finally, add the chopped cucumber and coriander, grind coarsely.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil and splutter curry leaves and mustard. Add this to the chutney.
