Cucumber - 2 or 3 (finely chopped)
Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Garlic - 2 to 3 flakes (finely chopped
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder (to taste)
Tomatoes - 2 or 3 (cut into cubes)
Haldi powder - 1/4 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Goda masala - 1/4 or 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing (finely chopped)
Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
How to Make Cucumber Koottu
Heat oil in a pan, put mustard seeds. After it splutters, add jeera.
When it becomes dark brown in colour, add garlic.
When it starts turning a little brown in colour, add the onions, fry till they turn golden brown, then add tomatoes and fry till the raw smell goes.
Now add the finely chopped cucumber with some haldi, hing and red chilli powder.
After it gets cooked well, add the goda masala, salt and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice and dal or with roti.
