Ingredients

  • Cucumber - 1
  • Moong dal - 4 tbsp
  • Channa dal - 2 tsp
  • Scrapped fresh Coconut - 4 tsp
  • Black gram dal - 2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • mustard few
  • Curry leaves - 2-3
  • How to Make Cucumber kootu:

    1. Cut cucumber (after peeling the skin) and chillies into small pieces.
    2. Add moong dal, channa dal, and 3/4 cups of water to cucumber and chillies.
    3. Cook the mixture in a pressure cooker.
    4. Fry black gram dal in little oil till it turns light brown in colour and grind it with coconut.
    5. Add jeera and hing after mixing it.
    6. Season it with mustard, black gram dal, and curry leaves. Cook for 2 minutes.
