Ingredients

  • Cucumber - 1
  • Moong dal - 4 tbsp
  • Channa dal - 2 tsp
  • Scrapped fresh coconut - 4 tsp
  • Black gram dal - 2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies - 2
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp
  • mustard few
  • curry leaves - 2-3

How to Make Cucumber kootu

  • Cut cucumber (after peeling the skin) and chillies into small pieces.
  • Add moong dal, channa dal, and 3/4 cups of water to cucumber and chillies.
  • Cook the mixture in a pressure cooker.
  • Fry black gram dal in little oil till it turns light brown in colour and grind it with coconut.
  • Add jeera and hing after mixing it.
  • Season it with mustard, black gram dal, and curry leaves. Cook for 2 minutes.
