Ingredients

1 - Cucumber

3 tbsp - Peanuts (roasted)

2 - Green chillies

a handful - cilantro/kothamalli

salt

1/2 tsp - oil

1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds

1.5 cups - yogurt/thick Curd

Method

  1. Peel and grate the cucumber in a bowl and keep it aside.
  2. Grind together the roasted peanuts, green chillies and cilantro into a smooth paste.
  3. If needed, add a little water when grinding.
  4. If you do not have roasted peanuts, roast it in a pan until it is slightly brown, cool it down and then grind it with other ingredients.
  5. Add the ground paste to the grated cucumbers along with required salt and mix it well.
  6. Now add the thick curd to the cucumber mixture and mix it well.
  7. Heat a tiny pan with oil and add the cumin seeds to it. Let it sputter and then add this to the raita.
