  • 1/2 cup - cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove the extra water
  • 1 cup - fine rava (or just enough to prepare the dough)
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • oil to smear

How to Make Cucumber Rava Rotti

  • Put all the ingredients, except oil, in a bowl.
  • Mix well and prepare the dough (do not add water).
  • Coat the dough with oil so that it does not dry up. Set aside for 30 minutes.
  • Make lemon-sized balls out of the dough.
  • Place the balls on a plastic sheet, aluminium foil or banana leaf.
  • Flatten the balls using hands to prepare the rotis.
  • Transfer onto a hot griddle.
  • Cook the roti on one side. Flip and smear oil on the other side.
  • Cook both the sides well.
  • Serve hot with homemade ghee.
