  • 1/2 cup - cucumber, grated and squeezed to remove the extra water
  • 1 cup - fine rava (or just enough to prepare the dough)
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • oil to smear
  • How to Make Cucumber Rava Rotti:

    1. Put all the ingredients, except oil, in a bowl.
    2. Mix well and prepare the dough (do not add water).
    3. Coat the dough with oil so that it does not dry up. Set aside for 30 minutes.
    4. Make lemon-sized balls out of the dough.
    5. Place the balls on a plastic sheet, aluminium foil or banana leaf.
    6. Flatten the balls using hands to prepare the rotis.
    7. Transfer onto a hot griddle.
    8. Cook the roti on one side. Flip and smear oil on the other side.
    9. Cook both the sides well.
    10. Serve hot with homemade ghee.
