1 cup - sooji
1 - cucumber peeled and grated
2 - green chillies crushed
2 tsp -chopped coriander
Salt to taste
Ghee for shallow frying
How to Make Cucumber Thalipeeth
Mix grated cucumber, sooji, crushed green chillies and chopped coriander.
Add salt to taste.
Make a soft dough like chapatti dough.
Add little water if required.
Meanwhile grease a griddle and heat it.
Make 3 inch balls of the dough.
Take a clean plastic sheet and grease it with ghee on one side.
Place one ball on the centre of the sheet and flatten with hand.
Keep flattening in circular motions to make a round uniform disk.
Dip hand in water, if required so that the dough does not stick to your hand.
Once the griddle is hot, turn heat to medium.
Lift the disc along with the sheet gently and turn the sheet over the greased griddle.
Transfer the disk to the griddle.
Quickly remove the plastic sheet.
Make 5 holes at different places on the round disk with your finger.
Pour ghee on the edges and in the 5 holes.
Cover for a few minutes.
Remove the lid after a few minutes and turn it upside down.
Cook for a few minutes more till crisp.
Serve hot with butter or Achar.
