Ingredients

  • 1 cup - cooked Rice
  • 2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp - Cashew nuts
  • 6 - whole pepper Corns
  • 2 - Bay Leaves
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 2 small sticks - Cinnamon
  • 1 - medium Onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Cumin Flavoured Rice-Jeera Rice:

    1. Heat ghee in a pan and add cashew nuts.
    2. Fry till light brown then remove from the ghee.
    3. In the same ghee, add onions, bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cumin seeds and pepper corns, and fry till the onions turn light brown.
    4. Add the cooked rice and salt and mix well.
    5. Cover and simmer on low heat for 2 more minutes then turn off the heat.
    6. Garnish with the fried cashew nuts.
