Ingredients

  • 2 cups semolina
  • 2.5 cups fresh Curd
  • 1/2 cup grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup grated Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 15 paper cups or foil cups for cupcakes
  • 1/2 tsp oil for coating
  • 1/3 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cheese, grated - 1/2 cup
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tsp

How to Make Cup Dhoklas

  • Put beaten curd and semolina in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add soda, salt, chilli powder and oil.
  • Beat till light and fluffy.
  • Make sure the batter is not too thick or thin and can spread easily.
  • Grease the insides of the paper cups or foil cups liberally.
  • Sprinkle a little grated carrot, cheese, and cabbage in each cup.
  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds and coriander too.
  • Fill 3/4th of the cup with batter.
  • Fill all the cups this way.
  • Steam them with the lid on for at least 15 minutes.
  • Remove from boiler and cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Invert and peel off paper cup carefully.
  • Pour some ghee over the cupcakes and serve hot with chutney.
