Ingredients

  • 2 cups semolina
  • 2.5 cups fresh Curd
  • 1/2 cup grated Carrot
  • 1/2 cup grated Cabbage
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 15 paper cups or foil cups for cupcakes
  • 1/2 tsp oil for coating
  • 1/3 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cheese, grated - 1/2 cup
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Cup Dhoklas:

    1. Put beaten curd and semolina in a large mixing bowl.
    2. Add soda, salt, chilli powder and oil.
    3. Beat till light and fluffy.
    4. Make sure the batter is not too thick or thin and can spread easily.
    5. Grease the insides of the paper cups or foil cups liberally.
    6. Sprinkle a little grated carrot, cheese, and cabbage in each cup.
    7. Sprinkle some sesame seeds and coriander too.
    8. Fill 3/4th of the cup with batter.
    9. Fill all the cups this way.
    10. Steam them with the lid on for at least 15 minutes.
    11. Remove from boiler and cool for a couple of minutes.
    12. Invert and peel off paper cup carefully.
    13. Pour some ghee over the cupcakes and serve hot with chutney.
