Ingredients

  • 1 - beetroot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 - Onion chopped
  • 1 - Tomato chopped
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - chopped Garlic
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 6 - Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp - cooking oil
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Curried Beetroot:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
    2. When they begin to splutter, add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.
    3. Add the curry leaves, tomato, garlic, and green chilli and saute for some time.
    4. Add the beetroot, salt, cumin powder, and chilli powder and mix well.
    5. Add sufficient water and cook on low heat till tender and the gravy becomes thick.
    6. Serve.
