Ingredients

  • 250 g - fresh green gram
  • 1 - medium sized Potato
  • 1 - Onion
  • 2-3 flakes - Garlic
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Salt
  • 1 cup - Coriander leaves
  • Oil for cooking
  • How to Make Curried Green Gram Potato:

    1. Heat oil in a pan.
    2. Add chopped onions, when they turn pink, add the ginger-garlic paste
    3. Mix well and add the tomato puree
    4. Add all the spices and salt
    5. Mix well till the mixture starts bubbling
    6. Add the fresh green grams and chopped potato
    7. Add 1 cup of water and mix well and cook till the grams and potato are tender.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    9. Serve with rice or roti
