  • 4 (100 gms each) - Fish filets
  • 10-12 - spicy Thai red chillies 
  • 30 - Garlic cloves, finely chopped 
  • 1 cup - Curry leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • Juice of 1 lime 

How to Make Curry Leaf Fish

  • Wash the fish and pat dry.
  • Combine the green chillies, garlic, curry leaves and salt in a bowl.
  • Divide in half and marinate the fish for 10 minutes in one half of the mixture.
  • Put the oil in a pan on medium heat. When hot, add the other half of the curry leaf mix and saute for 2-3 minutes, till the garlic is golden.
  • Add the fish and fry on both sides, till cooked through and firm.
  • Alternatively, you can bake the fish. 
  • Mix the fish into the fried herbs and arrange the pieces in a baking dish, cover with foil and bake in an oven preheated to 180 C for 20 minutes, till the fish is cooked through and flaky.
  • Uncover and bake for a further 5-8 minutes to crisp it up.
  • Squeeze in the lime juice and stir gently.
  • Serve with steamed white rice!
