  • 4 cups - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup - Toor Dal (pigeon peas)
  • 1/2 cup - urad dal(split black gram)
  • 3 - 4 - Dried red chillies
  • 1/8 tsp - asafetida
  • salt
  • How to Make Curry Leaves Powder:

    1. Dry roast the curry leaves in a skillet till the aroma is released and the leaves look a little shrivelled up.
    2. Place them in a blender and grind them well. It does not matter if they are not fine at this point.
    3. Now dry roast rest of the ingredients till the raw smell leaves and the lentils are golden brown.
    4. Cool them a bit and then add it along with the curry leaves in the processor and grind them until they become a fine powder.
    5. Store this in a air tight corner.
