How to Make

  • Pressure cook channa daal to 4 whistles with water, turmeric, salt, cardamom pods, black pepper and bay leaves.
  • When steam subsides, open and remove the bay leaves
  • Heat 2 tbsp of ghee/oil. Add cumin seeds.
  • Fry ginger and green chillies.
  • Add channa daal and cook till the water gets absorbed and mash.
  • In a separate bowl, make a dough of wheat floor and water
  • Shape them into balls and make a small depression and fill the mixture, close and roll it into small size pooris.
  • Deep fry till golden brown.
  • Serve warm
