How to Make Daddhojanam

  • Cook the rice, with the required amount of water
  • After rice is done, transfer to a bowl
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium flame
  • To it add 4 cut green chillies, a pinch of asfoetida, 2-3 cloves of cut garlic, small pieces of cut ginger, cumin, mustard seeds, a pinch of turmeric powder and a little butter
  • Leave it on the stove for about 2 mins or till the mustard seeds begin to crackle.
  • Add this mixture to the cooked rice
  • Now add 8-10 tbsp of plain yoghurt or curd and finally salt to taste.
  • Mix well and decorate with chopped coriander
  • Serve as a main or side dish
