  • 4 Potatoes
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 2 tbsp Cream
  • 1 tsp Cumin seed
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 3 Green chillies
  • 5 Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves one handful
  • How to Make Dahi Aloo with cream:

    1. Wash, peel and cut potatoes into small cubes.
    2. Heat oil in a wok, fry the potatoes till they are light brown and drain and keep aside.
    3. In the remaining oil splutter mustard, cumin and curry leaves
    4. Add curd and salt and stir it continuously till oil separates from the masala.
    5. Add coriander powder, cumin powder, fried potatoes and malai.
    6. Stir well for a few minutes more.
    7. Add enough water to get the desired gravy and simmer on a low flame for a while.
    8. Garnish with chopped coriander and green chillies for spicy flavour.
