  • 250 g - mixed dal (channa, tur, yellow moong)
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • 100 g - Sugar
  • 50 g - fresh grated Coconut
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 10 g - black dry monnaca

How to Make Dal Halwa

  • Boil the dals, drain and mash the dals
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add the grated coconut and fry till it turns brown
  • Then add the mashed dal mixture, cardamom powder, sugar and keep stirring till it leaves the sides of pan
  • Spread it on the thaali and decorate with monnaca
