How to Make Dal Kadi

  • Pressure cook the dal with 2 cups of water for 10 mins. Let it stand for 15 mins
  • Now mash the dal with a ladle.
  • Add salt and water to get a thick pouring consistency. Boil it
  • Remove and add lime juice.
  • Heat ghee or oil in a small pan and saute the garlic until pink.
  • Add the cumin, pepper and curry leaves to it.
  • Fry for few seconds. Add this to the dal
  • Serve hot with steamed rice or chapati.
