Ingredients

  • 2 cup - Channa dal
  • 1 sprig - Curry leaves
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • A pinch - fennel
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • Oil
  • How to Make Dal Vada South Indian Style:

    1. Soak channa dal for 2 hours
    2. Grind the channa dal finely
    3. Add green chillies, chopped onions, fennel, ginger, salt, red chilli powder, curry leaves and mix well
    4. Make small balls into idli shape and deep fry
    5. Serve with tomato sauce or coconut chutney
