Ingredients

  • 2 cup - channa dal
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves
  • 4 - green chillies
  • 1 inch - ginger
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • A pinch - fennel
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • Oil

How to Make Dal Vada South Indian Style

  • Soak channa dal for 2 hours
  • Grind the channa dal finely
  • Add green chillies, chopped onions, fennel, ginger, salt, red chilli powder, curry leaves and mix well
  • Make small balls into idli shape and deep fry
  • Serve with tomato sauce or coconut chutney
