Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup - Toor Dal
  • 1/4 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 cup - Channa dal
  • 1 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 2 - Red Chilli
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • How to Make Dal Vadai:

    1. Wash and soak dals for 3 hours
    2. Grind them into fine paste with green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and garlic
    3. Add all the remaining ingredients except oil for deep frying
    4. Make small lime-sized balls of the mixture and flatten
    5. Deep fry the vadais till golden brown
