Ingredients

  • 1 cup - seedless dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - roasted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Maida (flour)
  • 1/2 cup - Oats
  • 1/3 cup - Brown sugar (powdered)
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 5 tbsp - butter, melted and cooled

How to Make Date and Peanut Bars

  • Mix Maida with dates, sugar, oats, baking powder, peanuts, eggs and butter.
  • Grease a 7 1/2 square tin, line it with butter paper and grease the paper.
  • Pour the date mixture in it.
  • Bake in a preheated mode oven (170 degrees centigrade) till the mixture is cooked and the top is firm. ( 30-35 minutes)
  • After 10 minutes, turn out on a wire rack.
  • Cool completely and cut into 12 bars.
