Ingredients

  • For the dough
  • 1.5 cup - Plain Flour
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom
  • 1 tsp - Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 1 tbsp - Water
  • Filling
  • 6 to 8 - Medjool dates
  • 5 to 6 - Walnut s
  • Cardamom- a pinch.

How to Make Date Bites

  • Knead the dough with milk until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 10 mins.
  • Meanwhile prepare the filling by mixing all the ingredients for the filling into a thick paste.
  • Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
  • Now roll it into balls, flatten and place some filling inside the dough and cover it.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Now preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  • Place the portions on the tray.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 mins, until slightly brown.
  • Serve with tea or milk.
