Ingredients

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • For the Marinade:
  • Chick pea flour - 1/2 cup
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
  • Green chilli paste made of 3 chillies (can be ground alongwith ginger and garlic)
  • Ajwain (carum seeds) - 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Deep fried Chicken Pakoras

  • Clean, cut and wash the chicken.
  • Mix all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl except egg.
  • Add the chicken and toss well.
  • Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  • Add egg which has been stirred and not whisked, mix well.
  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the pakoras on medium heat till chicken is cooked and is crisp.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney.
