Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - pottukkadalai powder (needn't roast the pottukkadalai first).
  • 2 cups - Rice flour.
  • 2 - onions.
  • 1 - Green chilli
  • salt to taste.
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder (optional).
  • Couple of small sprigs of Curry leaves and coriander Leaves.
  • oil to deep fry.
  • 1 tsp - ghee.

How to Make Deep fried Pottukkadalai Bonda

  • Finely chop the onions and mix with salt.
  • Mash the onions well with hands, add pottukkadalai powder, rice flour, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves, chilli powder, ghee. Mix everything well. Add a little water if necessary.
  • Make small balls with the dough and deep fry in oil.
  • Remove when they turn golden.
  • Serve with coconut chutney.
