  • 1/2 cup - pottukkadalai powder (needn't roast the pottukkadalai first).
  • 2 cups - Rice flour.
  • 2 - onions.
  • 1 - Green chilli
  • salt to taste.
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder (optional).
  • Couple of small sprigs of Curry leaves and coriander Leaves.
  • oil to deep fry.
  • 1 tsp - ghee.
  • How to Make Deep fried Pottukkadalai Bonda:

    1. Finely chop the onions and mix with salt.
    2. Mash the onions well with hands, add pottukkadalai powder, rice flour, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves, chilli powder, ghee. Mix everything well. Add a little water if necessary.
    3. Make small balls with the dough and deep fry in oil.
    4. Remove when they turn golden.
    5. Serve with coconut chutney.
