How to Make Deep Fried Spicy Peanuts (Masalakappalandi)

  • Mix peanuts with salt.
  • Sprinkle 1 tsp water and mix well.
  • Keep aside for 20 - 25 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Reduce heat to medium and fry peanuts in batches (till golden colour). Drain and place on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
  • After frying each batch of peanuts, mix spice powder (1/2 tsp for each batch) while the peanuts are still hot. Sprinkle deep fried curry leaves over it (optional). Serve with Tea / Coffee.
