Ingredients

  • 1 cup - roasted rava
  • 1/2 cup - chopped vegetables (cabbage, Green peas (frozen), beans, potato, carrot, lima beans (optional)
  • 1/2 - onion, grated
  • 3 tsp - Ginger
  • 1 - Green chilli
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice,
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 2tbsp - Urad Dal (optional)
  • 1 tbsp - chopped coriander
  • 3 cups - water

How to Make Delightful Vegetable Upma

  • Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds.
  • Once it splutters, add urad dal, a pinch of hing and curry leaves.
  • Fry onions and add chilli.
  • Add all the vegetables.
  • Fry for 2-3 mins. Then add water, salt and ginger.
  • Boil well until vegetables are soft.
  • Add lemon juice and sugar.
  • Add rava slowly, stirring continuously.
  • Boil for 2-3 mins.
  • Add coriander.
  • Cover and cook for 5 mins.
