Ingredients

  • 1 box - short spaghetti
  • 1 - small onion
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 5-6 cloves - garlic
  • 1/3 cup - frozen French green beans
  • 2 - carrots
  • Cabbage - a handful, grated
  • 1/4 cup - frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup - frozen corn
  • 1 - tomato
  • A few sprigs - Curry leaves
  • A few sprigs - Coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 lemon - juiced
  • 1 tbsp - oil for seasoning
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1 tsp - Soya sauce (optional)

How to Make Desi Spaghetti Upma

  • Cook spaghetti in boiling water.
  • Add the frozen vegetables when the spaghetti is almost done. Drain and keep aside.
  • Chop green chilli and garlic.
  • Finely slice onion, carrot and cabbage.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add jeera, green chilli, and garlic.
  • Fry a little and then add the onion.
  • Add cabbage, tomato, and pasta with the vegetables, heat thoroughly.
  • Add salt, lemon juice, curry leaves, and coriander leaves.
  • Finally add soy sauce and mix.
  • Serve hot.
