Ingredients

  • 1 cup - tur dal
  • 4 - drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - crushed Garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 - red chillies, broken into bits
  • few Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - oil

How to Make Dhal And Drumstick Curry

  • Wash the dal and cook it along with the tomato, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and drumsticks with sufficient water in a pressure cooker.
  • When it gets cooked open the cooker, add salt and some more water and mix well.
  • In another vessel, heat oil and add the mustard seeds, broken red chillies and smashed garlic and fry for some time.
  • When the mustard seeds start spluttering add it to the cooked dal.
  • Serve with rice.
