  • How to Make Double Chocolate Walnut Biscotti:

    1. Pre-heat an oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. Add butter and flour on a large baking sheet.
    3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
    4. In another bowl, beat butter and granulated sugar together with an electric mixer, until light and fluffy.
    5. Add the eggs and beat until it combines well.
    6. Stir in the flour mixture to form a stiff dough.
    7. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips.
    8. On prepared baking sheet, prepare the dough with floured hands into two slightly flattened logs, each 12 inches long and 2 inches wide. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar.
    9. Bake the logs for 35 minutes or until slightly firm to the touch.
    10. Cool the biscotti on a baking sheet for 5 minutes.
    11. On a cutting board, cut the biscotti diagonally into 3/4-inch slices.
    12. Arrange the biscotti, cut sides down, on the baking sheet and bake until crisp for about 10 minutes.
    13. Cool on a rack.
    14. Store the biscotti in air-tight containers for a week or keep it frozen for a month.
