Ingredients

  • Drumstick – 4 sticks
  • Prawns – 500 gms
  • Potato – 1 medium
  • Onions – 2
  • Ginger -1 inch root
  • Garlic – 6 Cloves
  • Tomato – 1 medium
  • Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  • Paprika – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves– 2 sprigs
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – 300 ml (or as desired)
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • How to Make Drumstick and King Prawn Masala:

    1. Clean and cut drumsticks into 2 inch pieces
    2. Make a paste of ginger, garlic and tomatoes.
    3. Boil and mash the potato into a smooth paste.
    4. Chop onions finely
    5. To hot oil add mustard seeds, allow to pop.
    6. Add curry leaves and onion, stir for about 2 minutes, till onion is translucent.
    7. Add the ginger-garlic-tomato paste, stir frequently and cook till oil starts leaving the paste.
    8. Add the powders, stir on low-flame till for about a minute.
    9. Add water, salt, mashed potato and get smooth gravy.
    10. Add drumstick and prawns, cook till prawns are pink in colour (about 15 to 20 mins)
    11. Serve with rice, chapati or naan.
