Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken, washed and cut
  • 1/2 - coconut, fresh and roasted
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder, red roasted and ground
  • 2 tsp - coriander/dhania, roasted and ground
  • 1/2 tsp - aniseed (suwa, shopa), roasted and ground
  • 1 - Cinnamon stick, roasted and ground
  • 5 - cloves, roasted and ground
  • 10 - peppercorns, roasted and ground
  • 3 Cloves - garlic, roasted and ground
  • 1 tsp - jeera/cumin seeds, roasted and ground
  • tamarind, roasted and ground
  • 3 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1" piece - ginger, sliced and fried
  • 2 - medium onions, sliced and fried
  • 4 - medium green chillies, sliced and fried
  • How to Make Dry Chicken Dish:

    1. Grind the masala and keep aside.
    2. Cut the chicken and remove the skin. Wash the chicken and marinade with the ground masala for an hour.
    3. Fry 2 sliced onions to golden brown.
    4. Add the green chillies and continue frying until the chillies change colour.
    5. Add the marinated chicken and fry until dark brown. Add more oil if necessary.
    6. When fried, add a little hot water and a little salt and continue until the chicken is cooked and dry.
