Ingredients

  • Ingredients for the pancakes:
  • 2 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 cup - Milk
  • 1/2 tsp - ground Nutmeg
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1/2 tsp - Dry yeast
  • 6 - 7 - Cherries
  • water
  • cooking oil
  • Ingredients for the filling:
  • 1 cup - roasted dry fruits (cashewnuts, pistachios, almonds, pine seeds and raisins)
  • 1/2 cup - icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Honey
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Dry fruit pancakes:

    1. To prepare the pancakes, mix the flour with the baking powder in a mixing bowl.
    2. Next, dissolve the yeast in a cup of warm water and add to the flour, along with the milk and egg.
    3. Mix uniformly by adding a little water at a time to form a lump - free batter.
    4. Leave aside for half an hour or so to rise.
    5. Now that the batter is ready, grease a frying pan with a few drops of oil and heat it on medium heat.
    6. Pour half a ladle of the batter into the pan and, with the back of the ladle, spread out evenly to form a thick pancake.
    7. Once the top of the pancake starts to bubble, turn to brown the other side too.
    8. While making the pancakes, in another bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned for the filling to form a mushy lump.
    9. Add a spoonful of the filling on top of each pancake and roll into a cylindrical shape.
    10. Arrange on a serving tray and garnish by sprinkling them with icing sugar and placing a halved cherry on top of each one.
