Ingredients

  • 1 - medium size duck.
  • 3 - tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 - big onions, chopped
  • 3 - potatoes, pealed
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 3 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder.
  • How to Make Duck Vindaloo:

    1. Heat oil in a vessel or pressure cooker and fry the onions till golden brown.
    2. Add the garlic paste and fry well.
    3. Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, pepper powder and a little water and fry well till the oil separates from the mixture.
    4. Now add the tomato puree and salt and fry for some more time.
    5. Add the duck, potatoes and vinegar and mix well.
    6. Add enough water for required gravy and cook till done.
