Ingredients

  • 8 cups - milk
  • 4 tbsp - rice
  • 1 tsp - powdered cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp - saffron
  • 1 tbsp - raisins
  • 1/2 cup - sugar or according to taste
  • 1 tsp - ghee
  • 1/2 tsp - nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp - blanched and sliced almonds and pistas

How to Make Dudh Pak

  • Wash and dry the rice, and then rub in 1 tsp of ghee.
  • Bring the milk to a boil; add rice and cook on a slow flame till the rice is cooked well.
  • Add sugar and cook till milk reaches a creamy consistency.
  • Add the powdered cardamom, nutmeg, saffron, almond, pista, and raisins.
  • Simmer for 2 minutes and serve.
  • It can be eaten hot with puris or cold as a pudding.
