Ingredients

  • 500 gms - baby Potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp - Haldi
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilly powder
  • salt to taste
  • 15 to 20 - Garlic Cloves
  • 2 inches- Ginger
  • 4 tsp - Coriander seeds
  • 4 tsp - peppercorns
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 3 to 4 tsp - oil
  • How to Make Dum Aloo with Baby Potatoes:

    1. Boil the baby potatoes and pierce softly with a fork.
    2. Grind all the other ingredients (except the oil and jeera) in a mixie to make it a soft paste.
    3. Now marinate the baby potatoes with this paste for about half an hour.
    4. After half an hour take a kadai and pour a little oil.
    5. Add jeera to the hot oil and when it splutters add the potatoes and fry till it attains a golden brown colour.
    6. Add little water to the fried baby potatoes and close the kadai.
    7. Put of the flame after 5 minutes.
    8. This can be served with hot rotis.
