Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs
  • 1.5 cups - light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp - melted butter
  • 2 tbsp - canola oil
  • 1.5 tsp - vanilla
  • 1 cup - all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/3 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup - chopped nuts
  • margarine/vegetable oil

How to Make Easter Brownies

  • Beat the egg with brown sugar until quite frothy.
  • Beat in the butter, oil, and vanilla and work until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together and use a whisk to gently stir them into the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  • Lightly oil a pan and spread the batter out evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
  • Let it cool completely before cutting.
  • Sift a little powdered sugar on the top after cutting but before serving.
